The fifth panel in Highland’s Sidebar is the Scratchpad.
If the sidebar is not visible, go to View > Toggle Sidebar or press Command + 0. The Scratchpad can be accessed by selecting the [scrachpad-icon] or by pressing Command + 5.
The Scratchpad is a place for text that you want to keep out of the flow of your document. It’s especially useful when working with a writing partner or editor.
Click inside the Scratchpad panel and type. Text added to the Scratchpad is automatically saved and stays with the file.
Pro tip: Use the Export button located at the bottom right of the Scratchpad panel to create a new document populated with the text in the Scratchpad.
